PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Please take notice that the Town of Cooperstown will hold a Public Hearing on the following items:

Withdrawal from County Zoning under Act 264

Date : October 21, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

Place: Town Hall, 11626 Hwy Z, Maribel, Wisconsin 54227

The Town Board will hear all people in support of such matter or any objections thereto during the public comment slip of the hearing at 11626 Hwy Z in order of appearance on the agenda. Comments submitted in writing must be received before 4:00 p.m. on the above hearing date and will be addressed at the public hearing. Members of the public will be allowed three (3) minutes to speak on matters pertaining to Town Board business.

Rules: 1) a “comment slip” where individuals wishing to comment during the hearing would provide their name, address, affiliation, and whether they support, oppose, or just wish to comment on the item being considered at the hearing;

2) requiring that each person wishing to speak must be recognized by the chair before providing comment;

3) limiting the amount of time that a person has to comment at a legislative hearing;

4) keeping comments relevant to the item being considered;

5) limiting comments that repeat the same information; and

6) setting a deadline in advance of the hearing for when written comments are due.

Members of a subunit of the Town of Cooperstown may attend the Town Board meeting to gather information regarding subjects for which these subunits may have decision-making responsibilities. No discussion or action will be taken by the subunit or its members at the Town Board meeting.
