Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Town Hall at 7:00 P.M. unless otherwise posted and/or published. Notices are posted at the Town Hall, the old Recycling Center on Highway Z and Greenwoods at the intersection of Highways R and 147. Winter meetings will be held at the Maribel Community Center.
**Before burning grass, leaves, wood, or any other controlled fire, within the Town of Cooperstown, call the Department of Natural Resources to determine there is not a no burn ban. Place a call to County Dispatch 920-683-4201 and notify them that you will be burning. After burning is complete, call County Dispatch and report your completion. **

Voting/Election Information: Polling hours are from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Cooperstown Town Hall, 11626 Hwy Z, Maribel, WI 54227. New voter registration is required and proof of residence is required when registering. The 2013 election dates are: Feb 19th primary if needed and April 2nd Spring election. If interested in becoming an election worker please contact the clerk for more information. New pollworks are always welcome. Training provided.
The first day to circulate nomination papers is Dec. 1, 2012 and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on January 3, 2013. Two Year Board positions: Chairman, 2 Supervisors, Treasurer, Clerk and Constable. Nomination papers can be obtained from the Clerk, by calling 863-3261.

RECYCLING AND GARBAGE : Garbage and recycling items should be taken to the town Transfer Station located at 12309 County Road Z. Transfer Station employees will have a handout available, which lists guidelines for acceptable/non-acceptable garbage and recycling items and fees, when applicable. A card with a number was sent to all residents and should be presented to Transfer Station employees every tine garbage and recycling items are dropped off, If you have not received a card or are a new resident, please contact the Clerk to obtain one. If you have any questions regarding the Transfer Station please contact any Town Board member. The Transfer Station hours of operation will be as follows:

House numbers for new home construction can be obtained from the Town Clerk. It is extremely important that you have your house number on your home or on a post in front of your home visible from the road for the fire department, sheriff's department or ambulance personel. The town will not be responsible for any damage due to inadequate house numbers.
